This is My CU
Mike
Hey everyone!
My name is Mike Heffler. I'm a junior here at CU from Austin, TX majoring in Biochemistry, with a minor in Atmospheric and Oceanic Studies. I'm involved in a myriad of activities here, namely: the Golden Buffalo Marching Band, the Alpha Epsilon Pi national fraternity, and the CU Student Ambassadors. In addition to being involved in those clubs, I also help out through other groups. For example, I help tutor students through the Student Academic Services Center, and I perform community service through the National Society of Collegiate Scholars and Habitat for Humanity. In addition, I have a research grant in a biochemistry lab on campus so I'm usually pretty busy!
One of my favorite things about CU-Boulder is the great diversity throughout campus. Personally, I'm Jewish, and I participate in the Hillel campus organization. It's really nice to have a group like Hillel because it's a great way to network with people I already have things in common with.
I love CU, and I know you will too if you just take a visit! I'm always happy to answer any questions about CU, Jewish life here, and any other questions you could think of. Feel free to ask on the blog or email me at Michael.Heffler@Colorado.edu.
