This is My CU

Hey everyone!

My name is Kathryn and I am currently a junior double majoring in journalism and communications. I am a native of Colorado born and raised in Longmont, which is 25 minutes outside of Boulder.

My favorite part about CU is campus. Whether rain is falling or sun is shining, nothing beats the view of the Flat Irons while walking to class. When I first officially toured campus I was nervous because of the size, but as soon as I figured out where the buildings were my freshman year, my nerves eased up. It seems big at first, but quickly becomes small once you get used to the area. I see at least two or three familiar faces walking to class each day. A big school becomes a small community very fast.

I am also a student assistant in the admissions office on campus. I sit at the desk and help with various tasks. I also get to meet prospective students and parents such as yourself! Since the end of my college career is near, I also take the opportunity to apply for various internships to gain experience for my future. So far, I've held a social media marketing internship position with Rudi's Organic Bakery in Boulder. It was the time of my life and I look forward to similar experiences!

My hobbies include watching movies, attending/watching sporting events, cooking/baking, eating out with family/friends, hiking, running, reading and writing. Boulder has all the resources available to fulfill my interests. From local restaurants to hiking trails just up the road from campus, Boulder is truly a dynamic area.
