Snow Days Shenanigans and Job Search

Hopefully you all saw that this week ended in snow!  My friends and I really did two things of note.  First we made a fort by piling snow then digging out the middle of it.  It was so much fun; this is a picture of me sitting inside the partially finished one looking out at my friends.

Looking out from the abyss...

Then, Jason (one of my roommates) was gone on a trip for track so we completely buried his car!  I think that the face and arms are nice touches… don’t you?

On another note the job search is in full swing.  Between the career fair two weeks ago and then everything that has happened since I have been very busy.  I now have two job offers and several more in the process.  I’ve had three interviews over the past couple of weeks for positions all over the world, from London to Hawaii.  I think right now I am leaning towards a position working on nuclear submarines in Pearl Harbor!  So how all this works is that I put a resume together and researched the companies that I wanted to talk to beforehand, looked at their company values and a little about what each company did and put it all into a spreadsheet for quick reference.  Then when I got to the career fair I appeared really interested in each company that I talked to.  I made sure to find out if the company was having an on campus information session and went to each of those.  Sometimes the company recruiters will then ask you to interview with them, which is what happened with me.  If all that goes well then the company might either offer you a job or internship depending on what you are looking for.
