The graduate education application process is complex with varying requirements for each program of study. We strongly urge you to carefully review each of the following sections and to begin the application process early. All materials must be received by the stated deadline.

Questions? Graduate student admissions at CU-Boulder is a largely decentralized process. The departments make all final decisions. Please direct any inquiries directly to the program you wish to apply to. 

Application Deadlines: The application deadlines are when all materials, including your letters of reference, should be received. Note that the requests for the letters of recommendations are only sent to the people you specify within the online application after you submit your application. We recommend beginning the application process early and allowing plenty of time to complete the process.

Law and MBA Studies: All law and MBA applicants must follow specific application instructions in their respective program descriptions. Do not use the online application linked to from this website.

Nondegree Studies: If you wish to take university courses but do not currently intend to earn a degree at the University of Colorado, apply as a nondegree student.
